Brittany Fuisz grew up on the beaches of Malibu, eating local produce and gaining an appreciation at a very young age that food is fuel. After graduating Georgetown University and Le Cordon Bleu, Brittany trained at the three Michelin-starred Le Bernardin and the Food Network in New York.

When she began seeing a functional medicine doctor, she went searching for an organic, plant-based mylk that was allergen-free, and to her surprise there were no mylks on the market that fit the bill.

An avid lover of flax, she decided to see if she could make a mylk with the tiny superfood and dusted off her chef whites and began playing with a few simple, clean ingredients.

To her delight and surprise, flax made an incredible mylk and she knew she needed to share this finding with the rest of the world!

Today Malibu Mylk is the world’s first organic flax mylk. With only six healthy ingredients it is full of fiber, omega-3s, and cancer fighting compounds called lignans. The mylk is anti-inflammatory, sustainable, and excellent in cereal, smoothies, coffee, and more.

Here, Brittany shares with us her “Baby’s First Smoothie” recipe. (Which, we might add, is equally delicious for all ages.)

Baby's First Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup Malibu Mylk
1/2 ripe organic banana (the green ones tend to clog up baby!)
1 cup frozen organic blueberries
1 handful of organic spinach

3 ml Baby's DHA by Nordic Naturals
