Parenthood Playlist: Inspiring Songs From Yoga Teacher Heather Lilleston

Music is who we are at the cellular level.

We are sound. Everything we do in life is seeking to return us to the harmony we once knew.

Music reminds us of that.

It crosses over borders and language and culture; it is the great unifier. It moves what has gotten stuck, and returns us to the heart of the matter: this may mean we need to cry or dance or sing at the top of our lungs, or run around the neighborhood, or take a drive, or put on a dress, or cook or clean or reorganize, or rearrange the furniture.

Whatever the music inspires it usually heals and brings us home. To ourselves.

The songs on this playlist each mean something different to me, have had a lot of airplay, and I imagine will be useful to you in bonding with all the people you love the most.

Enjoy!
